Pura Ministries began in 2020 when Megan (Deguchi) Meckes created the very first Gem Diamond book. With a heart for the Lord and a passion for design, she noticed there was very little Christian children’s content created with the warmth, charm, and lovable character style that so many kids are naturally drawn to. That realization became a calling – to create wholesome, pure stories that point children to Jesus through memorable characters and meaningful storytelling.

Today, Pura Ministries exists to help shape the next generation through pure, Christ-centered stories and celebrated characters children can grow up loving.
